- ➤ A fundraiser has been launched by regular customers to support staff at Crabcake Factory Bayside after a car crashed into the restaurant on Jan. 4, damaging its kitchen at West Fenwick waterfront (37314 Lighthouse Road). Funds will cover living expenses until it safely reopens. The MoCo Show
- ➤ Ledo Pizza announced last week that its former president and co-founder Thelma W. Beall died at 101. Born and raised in Maryland, she helped launch the original Adelphi restaurant in 1955 and built a community legacy that endures. The MoCo Show

- ➤ MECCA Business Leadership Institute—Montgomery County’s only charter school—is set to refute allegations during the Board of Education work session today in Gaithersburg, as board members plan to vote later this month on a recommendation to revoke its charter due to special education and enrollment concerns.
