- ➤ The playground at Greenbriar Local Park in Potomac reopened yesterday nearly two years after an arson fire destroyed it, and Montgomery Parks used reallocated capital funds to upgrade the facility for families while the investigation continues. FOX 5

- ➤ Montgomery College Foundation received a $250,000 donation (from Bobbi and Larry Shulman and Shulman Rogers) to fund student programs and scholarships; the gift will support a new Jewish Experience Fund and expand the Presidential Scholars Program for students in need. The MoCo Show

- ➤ DC Water reported a sewage overflow from the Potomac Interceptor line inside the C and O Canal National Historical Park on Jan. 19.
