- ➤ MCPS announced its Pickleball Diplomacy program will host a Shanghai delegation Feb. 5-7 and send ambassadors to China Feb. 13-24 during Chinese New Year and Spring Festival—featuring a media preview on Feb. 2 at 4:00 p.m. at Dill Dinkers in Rockville. The MoCo Show
- ➤ DARCARS Automotive Group visited Paint Branch High School as more than 500 students gathered for an assembly on accountability and opportunity, where Berry Feiz shared his personal journey. The company donated a $3,000 check and 500 backpacks to support student programs. The MoCo Show
- ➤ Families can now enroll in summer day programs by Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth at The Woods Academy in Bethesda, open to advanced learners in grades 2-6. Courses begin the week of June 28 — registration is first-come, first-served. The MoCo Show

- ➤ A Montgomery County man won $450,000 in the January 17 Bonus Match 5 drawing using his usual set of numbers and said the prize will fund his grandchildren's college education. The Clarksburg Harris Teeter store will also receive a $4,500 bonus for selling his winning ticket. The MoCo Show

- ➤ As heavy snow and ice are headed for the region this weekend, doctors urge residents to take breaks while shoveling and to stop if chest pain or dizziness occurs (experts note shoveling can wind up straining the heart). WTOP
