The Casserole Club (led by Nicole Cerquitella) now brings 200 to 300 home-cooked meals each month to local shelters.
Volunteers cook on Tuesday and serve meals from 5:30 p.m. on the first Wednesday, using community donations to keep the effort running.
🎭 Culture
Two Montgomery County songwriters, Silver Spring rapper She-unO and Clarksburg ninth grader Shanvi Purohit, are finalists in the Bernard/Ebb Songwriting Awards.
They will perform live on Friday, Apr. 24 at 7:30 p.m. at the Music Center at Strathmore in North Bethesda, with winners announced after judge feedback and live performances.
