- ➤ Nonprofit WRAP will offer free Lyft rides for St. Patrick’s Day starting 4:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 17 until 4:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 18 to help reduce impaired driving in the region (the code for up to $15 per ride will be posted at 3:00 p.m. on the day). The MoCo Show

- ➤ Dobro musician Abbie Gardner will perform at Gaithersburg’s Arts Barn on Saturday, Mar. 28 (sponsored event) with a mix of original songs and covers that showcase her unique storytelling. Tickets are available at the venue. The MoCo Show
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Maryland Department of Transportation’s State Highway Administration will begin pavement improvement projects on several roads in Montgomery County early March. Drivers can expect lane closures and off-peak work times from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. — delays may last until mid-summer. The MoCo Show

- ➤ WalletHub’s report, released March 2 at 9:10 a.m., shows Maryland ranked 5th for women based on 25-key metrics such as preventive health care and earnings, while also noting a need to improve high school graduation rates. The MoCo Show

- ➤ Today, MCB Real Estate announced plans for a new 162,000 sqft Costco at VIVA White Oak in Montgomery County (near the U.S. FDA and White Oak Medical Center).
