Montgomery County Public Libraries celebrate 75 years with events at branches from Apr. through July.
The schedule features teen storytelling on Apr. 15 + a Teddy Bear Picnic on Apr. 25, with music, history talks, garden parties and virtual reality sessions planned later in the season.
The City and Rotary Club will host the annual Flags For Our Heroes display at Bohrer Park from May 22 until early Monday.
The event includes an inauguration on Saturday, May 23 at 11:00 a.m., a peace ceremony at the park’s Peace Pole, and a Scout-led flag retirement on Sunday.

Local education unions are holding a rally in Rockville on Wednesday, Apr.
8 at 5 p.m. outside the Montgomery County Council building (100 Maryland Ave) to urge leaders to fully fund the 2026-2027 MCPS operating budget with Superintendent Dr. Thomas Taylor expected to speak.

The Maryland cheesesteak will return to Z&Z Manoushe Bakery in Rockville on Tuesday, April 7 from 4pm to 8pm after drawing hundreds last November.
It will feature ribeye, caramelized onions & cheese choices on a sesame seed hoagie roll that pays tribute to the Dubbaneh family's legacy.
