- ➤ Montgomery County will host Bike to Work Day on Friday, May 15 with pit stops offering music, snacks, raffles, and vendor info at spots including Gaithersburg, Bethesda, and Rockville (schedule varies by location). - ➤ Today, Montgomery County residents face calm spring temperatures and low clouds east. - ➤ Permanent signage is now in place for Wonder’s upcoming Rockville location at 12240 Rockville Pike in Towne Plaza. The modern food hall will open this spring, and Wonder is expanding to Germantown, Gaithersburg, and Burtonsville Crossing (replacing former retail spaces) to serve multiple dining options. - ➤ Me Land, an indoor play center at 831 Russell Avenue, is auctioning its equipment ahead of its closure on April 14. The venue opened in September 2022 and was known for children's birthday parties while its Frederick location remains open. The MoCo Show
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Poolesville High student Sathvik Dasari was named a National STEM Champion and will attend the National STEM Festival in Washington + D.C. from June 24–27 to present his low-cost mobile air quality monitoring system to industry leaders. The MoCo Show
- ➤ Montgomery County Public Schools announced that Wednesday, April 15 will be an early release day to adjust for weather-related schedule changes. Grade reports will be completed by April 20 and paper copies distributed on April 30. The MoCo Show
- ➤ Poolesville High School junior Marshall Friedman was chosen among 100 students nationwide for Disney Dreamers Academy, a program that values personal stories over grades. He said the workshops and interactions with diverse peers shifted his views and sparked his interest in law and policy. The MoCo Show

- ➤ Metro is inviting riders 18 and older to join its Wall of Fame campaign by emailing their name, photo, video, and story by Friday, Apr. 17. Selected participants will be featured in a daytime shoot in late April (or early May) at a DMV location. The MoCo Show
