🏛️ Government
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service crews were awarded a Unit Citation for their rapid rescue during a February house fire on Somerset Place in Prince George’s County.
Engine 702 & Ambulance 702B served with Tower 701 & Medic 701 under challenging conditions.
🏈 Sports
Montgomery County-based Team Senshi Karate earned 21 medals (7 gold, 6 silver, 8 bronze) at the USA Open Karate Championships and Junior International Cup held April 2 to 5 in Fort Worth, Texas.
The only Maryland team competed under Coach David Abraham from its Montgomery Village facility.
