- ➤ A frost on April 21 hit local farms hard, with some losing up to 90% of their crops. Windridge Vineyard in Darnestown (Robert Butz) said his business has backup inventory, but neighboring farms that grow fruit face a tough season ahead and need community support. WTOP
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ The Montgomery County Board of Education approved new administrative appointments on Thursday, Apr. 30. The changes include a new principal at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School, a supervisor for environmental literacy, and principals for Westbrook and Takoma Park Elementary Schools. The MoCo Show
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Montgomery County officials, including County Executive Marc Elrich, announced the completion of a 6.8-megawatt microgrid at the David F. Bone Equipment Maintenance and Transit Operation Center in Derwood on April 30.
