- ➤ A person was shot Sunday night on the 20000 block of Beaconfield Terrace in Germantown and was taken to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries—none have been detained, and Montgomery County Police are investigating. The MoCo Show
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Students from Watkins Mill High School and Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School won top prizes in a countywide contest to discourage underage drinking—59 entries were submitted from 31 schools and winners received cash awards at the public safety ceremony. The MoCo Show
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Local rugby stars from Old Glory DC will represent the USA at a July 19 double-header at Audi Field where the men face England and the women take on Fiji ahead of the 2031 World Cup. Local standout Jack Iscaro from Olney and West Point graduate Collin Grosse—symbols of Gaithersburg talent—will lead the charge as fans also can watch the team in action on May 13 in Fairfax.
