- ➤ Anita’s Restaurant opened yesterday at 1488 Rockville Pike, taking over the former Joe’s Noodle House site and serving authentic Guatemalan cuisine with dishes like chuchitos+enchiladas chapinas. Joe’s closed on December 30 after more than 20 years as the chef retired and the owner returned to Taiwan. The MoCo Show
CRIME NEWS
- ➤ According to the 2025 State of Safety in America rankings by Safewise, Ocean Pines in Worcester County was named the safest town in Maryland and three Montgomery County cities were among the 28 top cities. The report used FBI crime statistics — along with resident input — to rank cities by safety and noted that 40 percent of Marylanders feel safe compared to 48 percent nationally. The MoCo Show

- ➤ Metro will launch a new bus network on June 29 as part of its Better Bus initiative—its first major overhaul in 50 years. The updated routes will feature new names and stop changes based on public input. The MoCo Show
