Six Montgomery County Public Schools students were named semifinalists in the 2026 U.S. Presidential Scholars Program, with four from Richard Montgomery High School—state education officials said the students will advance to the national selection process.

Montgomery College is accepting applications for its Raptor Ready Scholarship Program, which offers $1,000 toward fall tuition for Montgomery County Class of 2026 graduates planning to enroll in college credit or selected Workforce Development programs.

Students must apply by Aug. 3 as the first 1,000 eligible applicants will receive the award.
