- ➤ The Montgomery Village Farmers Market opens this Saturday, June 6, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Christ the Servant Lutheran Church (9801 Centerway Road) and will run every Saturday through October with local vendors, fresh food and free tote bags available while supplies last. The MoCo Show
- ➤ The Germantown Flea Market will return on Saturday, June 6 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the MARC rail commuter lot at Germantown Road and Bowman Mill Drive, where the free event hosted by the Germantown Historical Society will feature over 150 vendors and support local history efforts. ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded at 7:57 p.m. Sunday to a house fire on the 18800 block of Cross Country Lane where firefighters fought a kitchen fire that spread to cabinets and the attic; four residents (three adults and one child) evacuated safely and are receiving help from the Red Cross. - ➤ Burnt Hill Farm in Clarksburg gained praise as its new Chef’s Counter, launched in April, featured Chef Tae Strain’s Mangalitsa pork shoulder ssam, named by Fine Dining Lovers as one of the D.C. area’s most talked-about dishes of May, offering guests an intimate twelve seat dining experience on the vineyard. - ➤ Montgomery County will raise minimum wage rates on July 1, 2026, with large employers increasing wages to $18 per hour, mid-size to $16.50 and small employers to $15.95 to keep pace with inflation; full-time workers are expected to earn roughly $728, $936 and $1,040 more annually. The MoCo Show
