At the 270 Center on Shady Grove Road, Hobby Lobby opened in the former Best Buy space and Maman Joon began serving Persian dishes in the ex-Pieology spot, while the former Amazon Fresh (30,900 sqft) sits vacant after its February closure.

Clarksburg Town Center and Elm Street Development will host a retail groundbreaking concert on Friday, June 20 at its amphitheater at 13091 Clarksburg Square Road — headlined by rising local star Mindy Miller of The Voice.

The free event will feature food trucks and family-friendly activities.

Gaithersburg officials are set to vote on a redevelopment plan at Rio that would add 463 rental units and 41,000 sqft of retail space.
