  • Today, Tacos El Pariente food truck will open its new location at 100 N Frederick Ave. (W Express gas station) in Gaithersburg starting at 11 a.m. It will offer free esquite or dessert with purchases of $15 or less and a free order of birria tacos with purchases of $15 or more on future visits.  The MoCo Show
  • AH’HAAN by Bangkok Garden at 237 Kentlands Blvd in Gaithersburg is planning to open this summer after taking over the former Good Fortune Cafe site that operated nearly 30 years. The restaurant will seek a new beer, wine and liquor license on July 3 and will offer a full bar with an unlimited Thai brunch featuring lychee and passionfruit mimosas—adding creative twists to classic dishes.  The MoCo Show

CRIME NEWS

  • Detectives from Montgomery County Police Special Victims Investigations Division are asking the public for help finding Heaven Buana, a missing 14-year-old from Gaithersburg who was last seen June 9 at about 10 a.m. in the 800 block of Quince Orchard Blvd—she is 5 feet 2 and 100 lbs with brown eyes and black hair in a long braided ponytail and anyone with information is urged to call Montgomery County Police Non-Emergency at 301 279 8000.  The MoCo Show
  • While serving an eviction, Montgomery County Sheriff's deputies discovered an unconscious person in a residence with a gas stove emitting gas—after de-escalating the subject's agitation they safely transported him to an emergency facility for mental health treatment.  The MoCo Show

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The Montgomery County Council unanimously reappointed Megan Davey Limarzi as Inspector General for a four-year term today—she leads the independent office that has issued 81 reports and made over 250 recommendations to fight fraud, waste and abuse in county operations.  The MoCo Show

SPORTS NEWS

  • Maryland’s sports wagering market generated $7,746,363 in contributions to the state in May 2025—a fifth-best monthly result—with players wagering over $504 million on 11 mobile and 12 retail platforms while operators paid fifteen percent of taxable proceeds to the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future Fund.  The MoCo Show
