Teachers Eric and Lauren Zolkiewicz lost their dog Vinny during a beach vacation when he ran along Coastal Highway in Delaware and was found using drone infrared imaging after a 36-hour search.
Vinny is recovering (with a fractured wrist, dehydration, and bites) after being reunited with his family.

Mama Cafe is set to take over the former Mama Wok space in North Potomac; the new restaurant will hold a hearing with Montgomery County Alcohol Beverage Services for a beer and wine license on Thursday, Sept.
17 (opening timeline is pending).
🎭 Culture
Strawberry Cheese Churros by Churros Inc won the top prize at the Montgomery County Agricultural Fair on Friday, Aug.
14 after judges sampled nearly 20 entries, and Carnival Treats’ Street Corn Dog and Siama Juicebar’s Tutti Frutti Lemonade with Candies on Top were also honored.

The City of Gaithersburg received an application to redevelop Rosedale Apartments on the south side of South Frederick Avenue into a 428-unit mixed-income community with nine buildings and open space.
The plan, submitted on April 22, is under review and invites community comments by mail or email.
