Arby’s began clearing out the former McDonald’s space at 7200 Muncaster Mill Road in Derwood as it prepares for construction (expected after Labor Day) and aims to open before year’s end.
Viva Mexico Bar & Grill will open on Friday, Sept.
4 at 18509 Woodfield Road (the former Pizza Hut location) in Gaithersburg, offering bold Mexican, seafood, and Italian fusion dishes. Nearby, Plaza Mexico will debut this fall at North Pointe at Flower Hill.
🏛️ Government
Montgomery County parks will benefit from state funding of $4.6 million for accessibility updates, new playground equipment and facility improvements approved by the Maryland Board of Public Works.
Wheaton Regional Park will receive about $950,000 for a trail renovation — additional projects in Brookeville, Garrett Park and Poolesville will enhance local amenities.
