- ➤ Three-year-old Gracelyn from Montgomery County advanced to the quarterfinals of a national toddler competition today—her campaign has raised nearly $1,000 for Toys for Tots and supports her role in caring for her older brother with cerebral palsy. The MoCo Show
- ➤ On Friday, September 19, the Rosner family will host the 4th annual Justin’s Hole-in-One Golf Tournament at Little Bennett Golf Course to honor their son, Justin, and support the INOVA Children’s Hospital music therapy for kids with cancer. The tournament will aim to raise $50,000 and is seeking more sponsors and raffle items—registration is still open— to help fund the program next year. The MoCo Show

- ➤ Montgomery County’s Sarah’s Handmade Ice Cream was named the winner of the 2025 Washington Parent Picks award in the Ice Cream category after parents voted for the shop — it operates in Bethesda and Rockville and plans to open new locations in Dupont Circle and Chevy Chase soon. The MoCo Show

- ➤ On September 3, Gaithersburg police responded to a non-contact shooting at the 800 block of Quince Orchard Blvd—Montgomery County police arrived at 3:05 a.m. and Gaithersburg City Police now handles the investigation. The MoCo Show
- ➤ Gaithersburg police investigated two shootings early Wednesday morning—one incident left an adult male with a gunshot wound on Swarthmore Avenue taken to a local hospital and the other produced recovered evidence with no injuries—and are asking anyone with information to call. The MoCo Show
- ➤ Detectives from Montgomery County Police Special Victims Investigations Division are asking the public for help finding missing 14-year-old Zeckariah Lopez-Clark who was last seen on September 2nd at 3 p.m. on the 22000 block of Wims Rd in Clarksburg — he is 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighs 80 lbs, has brown eyes and black hair, and wore a green sweater, a gray t-shirt with green dinosaurs, black and white Nike sneakers, and a gray backpack with a black crisscross pattern —. - ➤ The Montgomery County Department of Police asked for help identifying an individual seen taking photographs of several entryways at St. Patrick's Church on Norbeck Road in Olney on September 1—anyone with details is urged to call the non-emergency number at 301-279-8000. The MoCo Show

- ➤ The Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration warned Maryland residents that they must register their vehicles in Maryland after it was found many were using Virginia tags to avoid higher fees and fines—this practice has cost the state millions in lost revenue. Virginia’s new rule requiring proof of insurance to register a vehicle is expected to help reduce the loophole. The MoCo Show
