- ➤ Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich will lead events from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15 to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month, honoring a Latino community that now makes up 20.5%—217,409 residents. The celebrations include a social media campaign, a small business graduation ceremony and visits to Latino-owned businesses as the county addresses concerns over federal immigration policies. - ➤ Montgomery County students in the Network Operations program are fixing up donated computers for a project that will give a complete computer lab to a local nonprofit — six refurbished desktops with monitors, keyboards, mice, and a printer are part of the package.
