- ➤ Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce announced its 2025 Business Award winners including Aprio, Giant Food, F.O. Day Co., X-energy, Maryland Department of Labor, Olney Theatre Center, David McNairy of Dabos Inc and Liatris. The winners will be honored at an awards dinner on November 12 at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center — 600 guests are expected to attend. The MoCo Show

- ➤ Maryland announced today a no interest $700 loan program for essential federal employees who worked without pay during the shutdown if it lasts through Oct. 15. Applicants must show proof of Maryland residency and federal status, and they will repay the loan 45 days after the shutdown ends — a measure to ease financial hardship. Montgomery Community Media

- ➤ AdventistHealthCare is preparing for a government shutdown by tracking spending and tests—delayed Medicare and Medicaid payments may cause cash flow problems.
