The Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon cutting ceremony on October 16 at 12:00 p.m. as Onekick Martial Arts opens its new Kentlands location at 255 Kentlands Blvd in Gaithersburg, offering classes for all ages (kids, teens, adults, and families) that focus on fitness, self-defense, and character development.

Montgomery County’s Alcohol Beverage Services received two national Best Practices Awards from StateWays magazine for its Spirited Discussions podcast and its Safe Bars bystander intervention training—both recognized for consumer education and community safety.

The awards will be presented on October 21 at the National Alcohol Beverage Control Association’s Administrators Conference in Bethesda.
