EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Montgomery County Public Schools updated its boundary study, secondary programs analysis and regional models at a Board meeting on Nov 20 to improve local access to academic opportunities. The district gathered feedback from over 12,000 survey responses and 3,000 virtual participants—new boundary options will be released after Thanksgiving—ensuring students can learn closer to home. - ➤ Parents and students at a Montgomery County school board meeting raised concerns about using the new Crown High School for Gaithersburg students and about safety issues including a failing fire alarm system and mold in older schools. Real Estate Investments to relocate and upgrade the Lakeforest Transit Center—an early step toward turning the former Lakeforest Mall into a mixed-use community.
