Montgomery County police investigated a death after a man brought an unidentified Hispanic female with a gunshot wound to White Oak Medical Center on April 27 and left; she was pronounced dead soon after arrival and detectives are asking the public for help identifying her (early to mid-20s with tattoos on her right thigh, right forearm, left forearm, back, and above her right elbow) and a Hispanic male (driving a white Ford Mustang) who fled the scene.

On April 26, police responded to a report of a pedestrian struck on Georgia Avenue at Aspen Hill Road — an adult man died after being hit and the driver of a silver Acura Integra remained at the scene — as investigators continue their work.

Montgomery County Board of Education announced winners of awards for Business Partner, Community Partner, and School Service Volunteer honors—recognizing key work that strengthens public education.

Jennifer Reidy-Hall, a 24 year veteran in law enforcement communications who retired from the Howard County Police Department in April, has been named Montgomery County Police Department’s new Director of Emergency Communications.
